Senior Centers
All of of Jefferson County's Senior Centers provide a wide variety of opportunities for social, educational, recreational, and health-related services.
Seniors 60 and over living in Jefferson County may attend any of the Senior Centers. Membership is free. All of the centers provide a wide variety of opportunities for social, educational, recreational, and health-related services. Daily activities vary from center to center but may include quilting, ceramics, crafts, line dancing, band practice and performances, woodcarving, pool, cards, etc. Van trips are provided at each center to places of interest in this area. Exercise equipment and physical fitness programs are provided at each center. Various classes are offered in computer training, art, cooking, etc.
Calendars are available at every center showing daily activities and destinations of van trips. Monthly business luncheons are held with blood pressure/blood sugar checks provided prior to the luncheons. Speakers are available at every luncheon to provide programs and topics of interest to seniors.
