THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) – TITLE II GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE

The Grievance Procedure is established to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by Jefferson County, Tennessee. The County Personnel Policy governs employment-related complaints of disability discrimination.

TITLE VI OF THE 1964 CIVIL RIGHTS ACT

Jefferson County, TN, does not discriminate based on race, color or national origin in federal or state sponsored programs, pursuant to the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C 2000d).
